Android around Us

Ever bump over an android down the street? Android is a robot designed to resemble a human, usually both in appearance and behavior. (The word android is a combination of Ancient Greek andros and the suffix -oid, which literally means "in the form of a man.") Some decades ago, androids have largely remained within the domain of science fiction, frequently seen in film and television. (In the manga and animes fiction, there is an entire population of androids who look after humans.) However, these robots now really exist. They closely resembles a human, they can dance, expressing sadness, smile, or even winking eyes on their faces.

Most renowned centres in researching for androids and robotics are run in Japan. Besides, there are several initiatives around the world involving android research and development at this time, the development of which make me think about how those scientific fictions come into reality. Then, they will be around us, walking to and fro, becoming new species accompanying us and other existing beings on this earth.
